Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

At SpeakerDesign.dev, we believe in building great tools for the DIY audio community without compromising your privacy. We do not track you across the internet, we do not sell your data, and we do not use invasive advertising cookies.

2. Website Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

To understand which of our tools and knowledge base articles are the most helpful, we measure overall website traffic using Google Analytics 4 (GA4). However, we have configured GA4 in a strict, privacy-first mode:

  • No Tracking Cookies: We have physically disabled the creation of the standard _ga tracking cookies (client_storage: 'none').
  • Anonymized IPs: Your IP address is immediately anonymized before any data is processed.
  • Consent Mode Denied: We transmit basic, anonymous 'pings' to count page views without storing ad or analytics data on your device.
  • No Cross-Site Tracking: We have disabled Google Signals and data sharing. Every page view is treated anonymously, meaning we cannot track your individual journey across multiple sessions.

Because we do not store tracking cookies on your device or collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for analytics, you will not see a cookie consent banner on our site.

3. Local Browser Storage

Our web-based software, such as the Box Simulator and Cutlist Optimizer, may use your browser's Local Storage or Session Storage to temporarily save your workspace, dimensions, or driver specifications. This ensures you don't lose your work if you accidentally refresh the page.

This data is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers, and we have no access to your personal speaker designs or cutlists.

4. Server Logs

Like almost all websites, our hosting provider automatically collects basic server logs for security and performance monitoring. This may include your IP address, browser type, and timestamp. These logs are kept temporarily to prevent DDoS attacks and ensure server stability, and are never used for marketing purposes.
